In the ever-changing world of football, players must take responsibility for their own individual development, says former Tottenham Hotspur women’s Head Coach, Rehanne Skinner.

“There are so many changes in football, that the only constant is the players themselves,” says Skinner who was appointed as Spurs’ women’s head coach in November 2020.

“So, part of our work is about how they want to improve as an individual regardless of which club or manager they are playing for. That's a message we're quite keen on instilling in the players.”

Skinner, who has held a variety of roles in the England set-up including a spell as assistant coach of the women’s national team, believes that helping players to help themselves will push individuals to maximise their careers.
