Coaches must continually find new ways to satisfy their best players’ desire to develop, learn and grow, says Leinster Rugby head coach, Stuart Lancaster. 

“The best players want to keep developing, learning and growing,” says Lancaster, who joined the Dublin side in 2016, after four years as England’s head coach. 

“They want honest feedback, they want good feedback and they want a coach who can inspire and motivate.

“What is really disappointing for an elite player is if they are in an environment that isn’t about success and generating high standards. Or, if the coach isn’t growing them as an individual.
