By nature, full backs are protectors. They see danger early, are positionally aware, calm under pressure, assertive, brave, unshakable, unflinching in the tackle, steadfast, strong willed, tough minded, good organisers and take responsibility when things need sorting out.
They love to stop goals and defend their goal, they celebrate a great block tackle that stops a shot, or cross with the same enthusiasm as scoring, and regard goals against their team as a personal affront.
