Coaches should be given ownership to be creative and innovative within a ‘club framework’, says Bolton Wanderers’ former Head of Academy Coaching and now B team head coach, Matt Craddock.
“I try and provide a framework for our staff to work within,” explained Craddock, during his time as a Head of Academy Coaching.
“If all the staff work within that framework, then they will be given responsibility to get on with their work. They can be innovative, creative and change things. If the coaches are inside that framework, then we all know we are aligned as an academy and as a club.”
