Coaches must find more ‘nuanced’ ways of communicating effectively with young players who are more comfortable chatting using WhatsApp than speaking face-to-face, says Norway assistant coach, Brede Hangeland.
“I think it’s a really interesting topic, because I can tell there's a difference between my generation and the generation coming up now.
“They're obviously much more experienced with social media. And I think that sets them apart from my generation a little bit because we're used to talking face-to-face over a cup of coffee across a table.”
